It seems dramatic but brides, the one person you will have a full length conversation with on your wedding day is your make up artist. The decision is that important. Every other interaction will be fleeting. You’ll feel like you cant really talk to anyone in depth. But, your make up artist has your attention for hours and if it’s not the right person, it can make or break your mood.
The morning of my wedding was not at all what I expected. I woke up underslept and exhausted when I had imagined being ready and rested. On top of that, it rained for days before my outdoor wedding and was gloomy and set to rain more! I arrived to my appt trying to remain positive but halfway through I broke down. I cried and said I wish I felt more rested, I want to have energy. Payton stopped what she was doing, hugged me, empathized with me and I’m not even kidding, over her shoulder in the window the sun came out and the skies turned blue hahaha. Like seriously? It was supposed to be gloomy and rainy all day. She turned on sound bath music and my mood was immediately better. She said and did exactly what I needed. From that moment on, I had a perfect day. It sprinkled a little but I wouldn’t change a thing.

To top it off, my make up and hair was better than I could’ve imagined. We did a trial for my bridal shower a month prior and I basically wanted to change everything. Not because it wasn’t an absolutey amazing job, but because I realized I wanted a more natural look than I had previously thought. (Trials are important!!!) I told her I liked the way my hair looked the day after with the curls looser and you guys… she offered to do my hair the night before and touched it up day of. I was so nervous to even tell her I wanted to make changes but she was more than willing to make them happen. Not one moment did I feel like I was too much or she was annoyed with my requests.
Lastly, I needed someone who would understand how to work with my complexion as a middle eastern woman. I mean, her insta photos speak for themselves. She works with people of all colors and does so flawlessly. Shes a true artist.
She’s an angel. Imo the only person you should book with in the Dayton area for bridal hair and make up.
